The time is now, the place is here, and simply put, I want to play a battle royale game (a multiplayer survival-type game akin to Hunger Games). I’ve looked at your ArmA’s and your H1Z1’s in the past, but by the time I was serious about spending some money/time, the player-base was gone. Now, with the seemingly unending success of two battle royales, I (and possibly you as well) am faced with a new issue: which one is better? The two competitors are PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Fortnite, games that have maintained hundreds of thousands of active users for the past 6 or so months.

Comparing the two, PUBG gives players a pseudo-realistic military shooter, where camouflage, vehicle gameplay, and pinpoint accuracy are essential for victory. Depending on when a player meets their end, matches can take mere seconds to half an hour. On the other hand, Fortnite is a quick-paced, cartoonish shooter with mobile building mechanics akin to an easier Minecraft. I’ve switched between liking realism and fantasy so much that I can’t decide, but I also want to know which game I should like more (even though getting both isn’t too hard).

What should I do? What should you?
